These TheStage Android SDK Product Terms (“Android SDK Terms”) govern Customer’s access to and use of the TheStage Android SDK and related software, documentation, and engine bundles made available by TheStage (collectively, the “Android SDK”) for on-device inference on Android devices. These Android SDK Terms are incorporated into and form part of the Platform Terms of Service or other master agreement between Customer and TheStage (the “Master Terms”). If there is a conflict, these Android SDK Terms control only for the Android SDK.

By accessing or using the Android SDK, Customer agrees to these Android SDK Terms.

1. Definitions¶

Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Master Terms.

“AUP” means The Stage AI, Inc. AI Acceptable Use Policy.
“API Token” means an authentication and authorization token generated via the Platform and used to access the Android SDK and related Platform APIs.
“Android SDK” means the on-device software development kit for Android made available by TheStage (including the Android library (AAR), Flutter plugin, documentation, sample code, and related tooling), together with TheStage-provided compiled inference engine bundles distributed for use with that kit.
“Authorized Users” means Customer’s employees and contractors that Customer authorizes to use the Android SDK under Customer’s Account, solely for Customer’s internal business purposes.
“Authorized Environment” means Customer’s Android applications and development or test environments into which Customer integrates the Android SDK, subject to these Android SDK Terms.
“Device” means an end-user Android hardware unit on which Customer’s application that embeds the Android SDK runs.
“Device Seat” means the billable pair (API Token, deviceId) registered when Customer’s application initializes the Android SDK on a Device.
“Inference Output” means text, audio, embeddings, scores, or other results produced by running TheStage-provided engines through the Android SDK in Customer’s application.
“Third-Party Materials” means third-party software, libraries, frameworks, model weights, datasets, or other content that is included in, distributed with, used by, or required for the Android SDK (for example, open-source components, Qualcomm software such as the qnn-runtime artifact and QAIRT runtime libraries, Google Play services, and Hugging Face–hosted artifacts). Certain Qualcomm QAIRT runtime libraries are not distributed by TheStage and must be obtained by Customer directly from Qualcomm under Qualcomm’s own license terms.

2. Product Description¶

The Android SDK enables on-device speech, language, audio, and vision inference on Android devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs (Hexagon NPU via the QNN runtime, with GPU / CPU fallback). Depending on configuration and available bundles, it may support workflows such as:

automatic speech recognition (transcription);
text-to-speech synthesis (batch and streaming);
vision-language inference (image + prompt to text);
voice-activity detection and voice-agent orchestration;
speaker embedding and related audio utilities; and
download, cache, and load of TheStage-compiled engine bundles (via Hugging Face or Google Play AI pack delivery).

The Android SDK may be delivered as (a) an Android library (AAR) and/or Flutter plugin for integration into an Authorized Environment, and/or (b) documentation and sample applications. Access requires an API Token and may require additional access approval by TheStage.

3. License and Access Rights¶

3.1 License Grant. Subject to these Android SDK Terms, the Master Terms, compliance with the AUP, and payment of applicable fees, TheStage grants Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right during the Term to integrate and use the Android SDK in an Authorized Environment for Customer’s internal business purposes and to distribute Customer’s applications that embed the Android SDK to end users, solely as incorporated into those applications.

3.2 Permitted Use. Subject to the Master Terms, these Android SDK Terms, the AUP, and applicable Third-Party Materials terms, Customer may use the Android SDK to:

initialize the SDK with a valid API Token and run supported pipelines on Devices;
download and cache TheStage-provided engine bundles (including via Hugging Face or Google Play AI pack delivery) for offline or online use as documented;
generate and use Inference Outputs in Customer’s products and services, to the extent permitted by applicable model licenses and third-party terms;
evaluate performance and quality (including internal benchmarking); and
create internal documentation and training materials for Authorized Users regarding use of the Android SDK.

3.3 Access Controls; Additional Approval. TheStage may require an API Token and additional access enablement. TheStage may deny, suspend, or revoke access where reasonably necessary to protect the Platform, comply with law, enforce these Android SDK Terms, or manage capacity and security.

4. Device Registration and Seats¶

Calling the Android SDK initialize API with a valid API Token registers the Device with TheStage (subject to online validation). A Device Seat is the pair (API Token, deviceId) — one seat per registered Device for that Customer token. Reinstalling the same application on the same Device is intended to remain the same seat. Commercial seat counts, plan limits, and overage terms are as agreed with TheStage (see Section 8).

5. Restrictions and Prohibited Use¶

Customer must not (and must not permit any third party to):

copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the Android SDK except as expressly permitted for integrating the SDK into Customer’s application, or to the extent expressly permitted by applicable open-source licenses for Third-Party Materials;
reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover source code, underlying ideas, algorithms, encryption keys, or trade secrets of the Android SDK or TheStage-provided engines, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
circumvent or bypass authentication, API Token requirements, technical limitations, usage caps, or access controls (including device-integrity checks);
use the Android SDK to develop, train, or improve competing products or services (including by using outputs to replicate TheStage features);
resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or provide the Android SDK on a standalone basis as a service bureau, managed service, or hosted offering for third parties;
share, publish, or disclose TheStage-provided package repositories, credentials, API Tokens, or other access mechanisms except to Authorized Users who are bound by confidentiality obligations at least as protective as these Android SDK Terms;
redistribute TheStage-provided engine bundles outside Customer’s application (distribution inside Customer’s application, including via Google Play AI pack delivery, is permitted under Section 3.1);
remove or obscure proprietary notices, labels, or watermarks from the Android SDK or engines;
use the Android SDK for unlawful, harmful, or prohibited purposes (including as restricted in the AUP), or in violation of export controls or sanctions laws;
run security testing (including penetration testing) of the Platform or Android SDK without TheStage’s prior written consent; or
publish or disclose benchmark results or comparative evaluations of the Android SDK without TheStage’s prior written consent (except where prohibited by law).

6. Customer Responsibilities¶

Customer is responsible for all activity under its Account and for ensuring Authorized Users comply with the Master Terms, AUP, and these Android SDK Terms.
Customer is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all rights, licenses, and consents needed for any third-party models, datasets, content, or code used with the Android SDK, including any Qualcomm QAIRT components Customer obtains directly from Qualcomm.
Customer is responsible for validating results, including performance, correctness, safety, privacy, and regulatory compliance, before deploying or relying on Inference Outputs in production.
Customer must secure API Tokens, credentials, and any systems used to access the Android SDK, and promptly notify TheStage of suspected compromise.
Customer is responsible for end-user notices, consents, and compliance related to microphone, speech, and biometric-adjacent features in Customer’s applications.
Customer is responsible for compliance with the distribution terms of any app marketplace it uses (including Google Play), and for configuring Google Play AI pack delivery where applicable.

7. Customer Data, Logs, and Telemetry¶

7.1 Processing. Customer grants TheStage and its subprocessors a limited right to host, copy, transmit, and process data necessary to validate API Tokens, register Device Seats, provide, maintain, and secure the Android SDK and the Platform, and as otherwise permitted under the Master Terms and Privacy Policy.

7.2 Logging and Diagnostics. TheStage may collect and use operational metrics, logs, and diagnostic information related to Android SDK usage (for example, initialization outcomes, error traces, and system telemetry) to provide, secure, and improve the Android SDK and Platform and for billing and abuse prevention. TheStage will handle personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

7.3 No Training by Default. Unless expressly stated in the Platform or agreed in writing, TheStage does not use Customer prompts, audio, or Inference Outputs to train or improve TheStage foundation models or third-party models. TheStage may use aggregated and de-identified usage analytics to improve service performance and reliability.

8. Fees and Pricing¶

8.1 Commercial Arrangement. Fees for the Android SDK (including Device Seats, volume, support, and any enterprise terms) are by arrangement with TheStage. There is no public rate card in these Android SDK Terms.

8.2 Contact. Customer must contact TheStage AI for quotes, seat plans, and order forms by submitting a Service Request at https://app.thestage.ai/contact.

8.3 Payment. Payment terms, invoicing, and any prepaid balances are as set out in the Master Terms or an applicable Order. TheStage may suspend or limit access for non-payment as permitted under the Master Terms.

9. Changes; Deprecation; Experimental Features¶

TheStage may modify, update, or discontinue the Android SDK or any component, including changing supported devices, APIs, engine bundles, or interfaces. Some features may be offered as beta or experimental and are provided AS IS. TheStage may set or change limits to protect system reliability and security.

10. Disclaimers¶

THE ANDROID SDK IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. THESTAGE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE ANDROID SDK WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT INFERENCE WILL MEET ANY PARTICULAR ACCURACY, LATENCY, OR QUALITY TARGET. MODEL INFERENCE MAY RESULT IN UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR OR INCOMPATIBILITIES. CUSTOMER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR TESTING, VALIDATION, AND DEPLOYMENT DECISIONS.

THESTAGE MAKES NO WARRANTY REGARDING THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS, INCLUDING QUALCOMM SOFTWARE, GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES, OR THIRD-PARTY MODEL WEIGHTS. USE OF THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS IS AT CUSTOMER’S OWN RISK AND SUBJECT TO THEIR TERMS.

11. Limitation of Liability¶

The limitation of liability provisions in the Master Terms apply to these Android SDK Terms and the Android SDK.

12. Indemnification¶

Customer will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TheStage and its affiliates from and against any claim arising out of or relating to (a) Customer’s applications, content, or Inference Outputs; (b) Customer’s use of the Android SDK in violation of these Android SDK Terms, the AUP, or law; or (c) Customer’s breach of Third-Party Materials terms.

13. Term; Suspension; Termination¶

These Android SDK Terms apply during the Term specified in the Master Terms (or, if none, while Customer accesses the Android SDK). TheStage may suspend or terminate access to the Android SDK as permitted under the Master Terms, including for non-payment, suspected compromise, or violation of these Android SDK Terms or the AUP.
